What is EzeScan?

EzeScan is designed to automate and streamline document capture. Whether you're a home user or a large Government Department, you can choose from a range of modules to make your scanning jobs much easier.

With easy to use and powerful imaging features, EzeScan is capable of delivering impressive productivity gains. Ezescan is an Australian-made product, built to Australian requirements. 

EzeScan doesn't replace document management software: it complements it by providing an easy way to capture paper documents and send indexed information to the most popular document management solutions. So this means that with your new scanner, documents can simply be scanned and saved onto your PC's hard drive, or uploaded with metadata into a low, medium, or high end Document management system.

Batch Scanning Software & Optional Advanced Image Recognition

EzeScan is a flexible document capture solution that can be configured to suit your requirements including ad-hoc document scanning, batch scanning, scan-to-email, barcode recognition (BCR), handprint recognition (ICR), optical character recognition (OCR), optical mark recognition (OMR), key-from-image data entry (KFI), and the ability to save scans as text-searchable PDF files.

Is a plain scanning utility good enough to get the most out of your scanner?

Most scanners come with entry-level scanning software, allowing the operator to scan a document and save the electronic image in a user-defined folder. While sufficient for some users, these basic scanning applications are too unproductive for the user who has to deal with a larger volume of paper documents or who needs to establish a workflow to automate some of the process on a regular basis. EzeScan works with all current Fujitsu scanner products.

If you need to scan more than 50 documents per day then you'll want to use a serious batch-scanning application. EzeScan includes those features commonly missing in entry-level scanning software. For example, EzeScan includes document separator page detection, reusable job types (templates), powerful automatic file naming, audit stamps and choice of output file formats including image-only PDF and text-searchable PDF.

The whole workflow can be saved as a job and then allocated to a font panel button, meaning that you can now click a button and your Fujitsu scanner knows how you want to scan a document and where to put the output file as well.

Batch Scanning vs. Document Scanning

Batch scanning is like the turbocharged version of document scanning. Rather than scanning one document at a time, simply place a separator sheet between each document in the batch (we have included 2 sheets in your package), and then put the whole batch in the scanner. Batch scanning using separator pages, fixed page counts or barcodes will help to dramatically decrease the labour time spent scanning documents.

Even more automation

Advanced users can even consider EzeScan's optional routing modules, enabling the automatic sorting and distribution of documents based upon their content, be it typed test, hand print, barcode or check boxes.
