42. Why is the UPLOAD Objective 6.3/7.X Integration complaining about a missing objpb63/objpb dll?

If you are using Objective 6.3 then you must make sure that you have installed the Objective 6.3 SDK client on the PC. You must make sure that the 6.3 SDK objpb.dll file has been copied to the windows\system32 directory and renamed as objpb63.dll.

If you are using Objective 7.X then you must make sure that you have installed the Objective 7.X SDK client on the PC. You must make sure that the objpb.dll and the other SDK dll's files shown below have been copied from the Objective Developers Kit SDK 7 \VB subdirectory to the c:\program files\outbackimaging\ezescan directory.

  • ace.dll
  • msvcp71.dll
  • msvcr71.dll
  • objpb.dll
  • ObjServicesAPI.dll
  • TAO.dll
  • TAO_CosNaming.dll
  • TAO_IORInterceptor.dll
  • TAO_IORTable.dll
  • TAO_Messaging.dll
  • TAO_ObjRefTemplate.dll
  • TAO_PortableServer.dll
  • TAO_Svc_Utils.dll
  • TAO_Valuetype.dll

If the EzeScan login/password validation is failing to connect to the Objective Server, then make sure that the objective server name and port details, and the username and password details specified in Ezescan are correct.  Try using the Objective Desktop client application with those credentials to make sure that the server is up and operational.

If the Objective Desktop client application works, but EzeScan still doesn't connect to the server, then try using the c:\program files\Objective\Developers Kit\VB\apitest.exe program to login to the objective server. if this also fails to connect to the server, then its an Objective Server problem.
