10. What scanner settings should I use with my networked multifunction device? |
|
When using a networked multifunction device the scan settings are set on the device itself, not in EzeScan. EzeScan simply import the images from where the MFD has saved them (SMB, FTP, POP3) It is usualy recommend to have the MFD save all its images as Multi Page TIFF. This is for both Black & White and Colour scanning. When EzeScan is working with images they need to be in a TIF format. This is for tools like OCR, ICR, OMR, and BCR can work to extract the data from the images. When EzeScan has completed the job it can then save the document in the required format. e.g. PDF or PDF text searchable etc.
